Show No,2 at Morgans
17/05/22
I’m thrilled to be showing my work at Morgans gallery again, as part of Show No.2 which runs until May 22nd. My collection of 23 paintings is my biggest and most ambitious to date and were made in the gallery during a 6 week residency I undertook there earlier this year. During my residency I was inspired by the light, history and architecture of the space and it's layers of history, many of which are still visible.
Other pieces in this collection, were inspired by my daily walks to the gallery and the water, horizons and hedgerows I encountered, along with the elemental Cornish sea and storms which were powerful over the winter. As usual, this collection has also been deeply draw from my personal experiences over the last few months and the ebb and flow of my emotions which have included hope, fear, uncertainty, love and vulnerability.
The gallery really is the most beautiful space to exhibit in and it’s a privilege to be part of this show and to see my paintings come alive a new context. If you have any questions or would like me to meet you in the gallery to discuss the collection do get in contact as I would be very happy to do so. Alternatively, if you can’t make it to the gallery to visit the show in person the whole collection can be viewed via the galleries website here.
